Short Bio

I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Ophthalmology AI Lab, Harvard University, Massachusetts, USA. I received my Ph.D. in Computer and Information Sciences from the Florida Atlantic University (FAU) in 2020, and finished my initial postdoctoral training in the Department of Genetics at Washington Univeristy in St. Louis in March, 2022. My research spans various domains, including data mining, machine learning, natural language processing, bioinformatics, and medical image processing. Currently, my focus lies in advancing machine learning and deep learning methodologies to tackle pivotal challenges in the medical field. This encompasses areas like medical image analysis, ensuring fairness in AI-driven medical systems, vision-and-language learning in medicine, AI-assisted screening and monitoring of eye diseases, and graph embedding learning. My extensive and varied experience, both within and outside of research, has equipped me with unique capabilities for pioneering interdisciplinary research.
